It was the summer of 2009 and the Niagara Falls Humane Society was over run with cats to the point that they didn’t know where to put them. The good people at the Niagara Square shopping centre were generous enough to donate a store for an adoption centre and so I decided offer my services as an artist and direct a community mural project.

First, I painted a sky on all the store walls. Then a fence and some grass.

Then I invited people from the community to help me paint this giant mural.

Something fun I painted in the corner.

A local artist painting in another corner.

Wonderful Niagara talent.

Another artist joins us in the project.

Beautiful work!!

And another artist comes to join in the fun.

The talent just keeps on going.

Great work everyone!!

This is a mural I painted in the summer of 2005 on the side of a poolhouse in my patrons’ backyard just outside of St. Catharines. I used acrylic paint, primed and sealed well, on a 30′ long by 7.5′ high brick wall. My patron made his success in Alberta and wanted a scenery to take him back there. I had a very basic camera back then, so sorry about the bad quality images, but the art is still perfect.
