I was commissioned by Niagara Parks to create a sculpture to be placed by the Brink of Niagara Falls that would allow the mist to form ice on the sculpture. Of course the winter of 2011/2012 wasn’t very cold, but I was proud of my piece just the same. Check it out… it’s a fun one 🙂
In the summer of 2011, I started sculpting cement. Instead of doing the basic mold and pouring cement into it and pumping out a bunch of copies, I decided to use another technique, one that is original and more artistic. First I make a metal frame, then I build up several layers of cement, using different quality grades I mixed myself, from base to detailed final coat.
